Wow, Todd did it! For the third time! He ran a grueling 100 miles up, down and over the Wasatch Mountains from Kaysville to Midway, starting at 5 a.m. on Friday morning and finishing Saturday afternoon with no sleep!!! He ran the first 25 miles alone, and each succeeding 25 miles with a fresh runner. Burke, his brother-in-law ran the last 25 miles and said, "Imagine the steepest hike up and steepest hike down you've ever been on and times that by a hundred and that's what the last 25 miles were like!" He said the trail had motorcycle ruts dried into it so every step was uneven. Tim, Todd's middle runner, said they ran through The Canyons ski resort. Not on the road by the resort, but THROUGH the mountain tops! With lights attached to their backpacks so they could see where to run all night.
You can see pictures of where they ran here:

Here's what we saw as Todd and Burke came running in to the finish line in the rain. They are just coming into view from behind the trees.
100-Mile Endurance Run finished!!!
Check out the caked-on dirt up to his knees!
Todd and Tim.
Shoes off and we see what's left of the socks.
Slowly peeling the socks and band-aids off . . .
and we see what's left of his feet!!! Check out his right little toe. He tried to pull off the nail so it wouldn't bother him while he ran.
Wow, Todd! What an accomplishment!!! You should be content to sit at home in your easy chair for the rest of your whole lifetime, right Angie?
